Refunds for general admission tickets are available until 11 AM September 16, 2022 (Note that is 24 hours prior to the festival). After 11 AM, September 16, 2022, no refund requests will be honored.

If you purchased a tent or sponsorship, you have until noon on August 26, 2022 to request a refund. Your refund may be reduced by the amount necessary to re-print marketing materials, banners, etc. that were created specifically for your company/party to identify your participation in Shake the Lake, which must now be removed and re-printed. Any request for refund after noon on August 26, 2022 will not be honored. You are welcome to sell your sponsorship or tent to a third-party, but we will not serve as the intermediary.

To complete your return, we require the following information:

  • Your order and/or receipt number.
  • The email address used to complete the purchase (not the email you generally use, the email you actually used to complete the purchase with PayPal, Stripe, etc.)
  • The form of payment used to complete your payment (i.e. Mastercard, Visa, check, etc.)

This information will help us find your specific transaction so we can process the refund. Failure to provide the requisite information or to reply to our inquiries requesting more information to process your refund will mean you forfeit your right to a refund if the refund deadline passes before you reply.


Once your refund request is submitted, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your request along with any information we may need. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within the number of days specified by the payment processor (not us, we don’t have any control over that).

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Gift tickets/packages

If someone purchased a ticket, tent or sponsorship and gave it to you, you may not request a refund on their behalf. Only the original purchaser may request a refund and any approved refund will see the funds returned to the original form of payment.
